Assistant Site Superintendent - Commercial / ICI Construction (Salary $90,000 - $120,000)Location: Victoria or Nanaimo, BC Experience Level: 2–5 years The RoleThe Assistant Site Superintendent will support the Site Superintendent in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and ICI construction projects. This role involves active participation in daily site operations, coordination of subcontractors, and support of project schedules, safety, and quality standards.The successful candidate will work closely with the site leadership team to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents. This position offers strong exposure to all phases of construction and is well suited for an individual seeking continued growth in site supervision on Vancouver Island. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Site Superintendent with daily site coordination and executionAssist with scheduling, sequencing, and short-interval planningCoordinate and monitor subcontractors, deliveries, and site logisticsEnforce site safety standards and participate in safety meetingsConduct site walks and assist with deficiency tracking and close-outMaintain site documentation including daily logs, safety reports, and progress photosHelp ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with subcontractors, consultants, and internal project team members Required Experience & Qualifications2–5 years of experience in commercial or ICI constructionField experience supporting a Site Superintendent or project site teamExposure to concrete, structural, building envelope, and interior scopesWorking knowledge of construction sequencing and site logisticsStrong organizational skills and ability to follow direction while working independentlyFamiliarity with construction management software (Procore experience considered an asset)Valid driver’s license Preferred QualificationsTrade background or technical construction educationFirst Aid, CSTS, WHMIS, or similar safety certificationsExperience on commercial or ICI projects valued at $5M+Previous experience working on Vancouver Island projects What’s OfferedCompetitive compensation commensurate with experienceOpportunity to work on established commercial and ICI projectsMentorship and training under experienced Site SuperintendentsClear path for advancement to Site SuperintendentStable, professional construction environment
