Appliance Specialists are assigned to Department 70 (Appliances) to assist customers, assess customer needs and guide customer decisions to build customer relationships and drive profitable sales.Position Responsibilities: We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by:Actively seeking Customers on the racetrack within the Appliance and Custom Kitchen Show RoomsAsking open-ended questions and expressing interest in projects in order to best serve the CustomerDetermining Customer’s level of expertise and needs Answering questions and escorting Customers to merchandise in other sales areas that fit their needsAssisting Customers in other sales areas when appropriateProviding customer service over the telephoneAssisting Customers with special orders and install salesCommunicating with the Inventory Associates (IAs) regarding ordering issuesCommunicating with the Freight/Fulfillment Team regarding pack-out/pack-downAttending all scheduled product knowledge and training seminarsExperience/Knowledge Required:The kind of orange we’re looking for will possess:Minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in previous system)Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsKnowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and proceduresProven ability to close the sale. Exceptional customer service skillsSuccessfully pass the validated Sales Associate TestSuccessfully complete any required TrainingThe pay range for this position is between $21.60 - $23.60 In our commitment to efficiency, consistency, and a fair hiring experience for all candidates, The Home Depot Canada usesArtificial Intelligence (AI) technology to assist with the screening and assessment of applicantsfor this position.
