In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, unit testing, and verification of our industry‑leading Switchtec System‑on‑Chip (SoC) PCI Express (PCIe) switching products. You’ll collaborate with team members across multiple sites, working within an agile environment that values technical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze product requirements; design, develop, integrate, debug, and verify security features—including secure boot, attestation, and secure manufacturing—as part of production-level PCIe Switch firmware on an SoC platformCollaborate with other firmware teams and interact with chip design, emulation, validation, and application engineering teams on pre-silicon development and post-silicon bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and customer supportUtilize analyzers, oscilloscopes, probes, built-in firmware tools, logging utilities, and other forensic capture tools to troubleshoot problemsWrite comprehensive technical documentation and customer user guidesCoach junior firmware engineers on design reviews, code reviews, process enforcement, and continuous improvementRequirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical EngineeringAt least 5 years of embedded firmware development experienceStrong proficiency in C and at least one assembly language programmingExpert in peripheral driver development for GPIO, I2C/SMBus, I3C, UART, SPI, USB, NOR flash and other common accessories; strong knowledge of SoC, RTOS, multi‑threading, and SMP firmware developmentExpertise in at least one RISC CPU architecture and its instruction setFamiliarity with security standards, specifications, and regulations is preferred, such as FIPS, NIST, DICE, CNSA, or Common Criteria, as well as security architectures and features in embedded systems, including secure boot, attestation, and supply-chain securityExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong documentation skillsSelf‑motivated, team‑oriented, and resourceful, with the ability to achieve goals with minimal supervisionValue-add QualificationsAbility to leverage AI‑assisted tools to generate, review, and improve codeExperience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practicesProven ability to lead cross-site teams and mentor engineers in complex firmware projectsTravel Time:0% - 25%Pay Range:We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
