Job DescriptionThe Manager, Total Rewards – Compensation & Analytics plays a key leadership role in the delivery and continuous improvement of Indigo’s compensation programs and people analytics capabilities. This role is responsible for managing core compensation processes, ensuring data accuracy, and providing meaningful insights that support business decisions. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards & HR Technology, the incumbent leads the execution of compensation cycles, oversees reporting tools, and partners with HR and business leaders to ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational needs. The role also plays a critical part in educating and enabling HR Business Partners and leaders, fostering confidence and capability in applying compensation principles and tools, and ensuring alignment with Indigo’s pay philosophy and practices.KEY PERFORMANCE METRICSMarket competitiveness and internal equity of compensation programsAccuracy and impact of compensation analytics and reportingStakeholder satisfaction and adoption of compensation tools and processesCompliance with pay transparency and employment legislationProgram communication and education effectivenessConsistency and alignment with Indigo’s pay philosophyKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESFUNCTIONALCompensation Strategy & Program ManagementLead the design and administration of Indigo’s base pay, incentive, and recognition programs, including annual and quarterly compensation cyclesOversee job evaluations, market pricing, and salary structure development using survey data and benchmarking toolsAct as the SecureSheet administrator for the annual merit and bonus process, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiencyProvide strategic compensation consulting to HR Business Partners and business leadersPartner with the HR Manager and Talent Acquisition to provide salary recommendations that align with internal equity and market competitivenessEnsure compliance with pay equity, transparency, and employment standards legislation across jurisdictionsEnsure all compensation decisions and practices align with Indigo’s pay philosophy and governance standardsReview and update Total Rewards policies and content on internal platforms (e.g., Our Indigo)Analytics & InsightsDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor compensation trends, workforce metrics, and program effectivenessLead compensation modelling and scenario planning to support business cases and organizational changesLeverage tools such as Power BI, Excel, and UKG analytics to drive data-informed decision-makingOptimize the use of UKG’s BI reporting tool to deliver meaningful data to the businessGovernance & OperationsMaintain compensation policies, guidelines, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliancePartner with HRIS to ensure data integrity and system readiness for compensation processesSupport internal and external audits related to compensation and pay equityManage vendor relationships for compensation surveys and toolsOversee the Total Rewards inbox and ensure timely resolution of employee and manager inquiriesLeadership & CollaborationAct as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on compensation and analyticsCoach and mentor junior team members and HR colleagues on compensation principles and toolsLead the development and delivery of training and upskilling initiatives for HR Business Partners and leaders to build compensation capabilityCollaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to align rewards with strategyChampion a culture of transparency, fairness, and continuous improvementPEOPLEDevelop positive and productive peer relationshipsWork in a collaborative and constructive manner with team and cross functional partnersSupport the Director, Total Rewards & HR Technology and working effectively with other members of the HR team to achieve business goalsSupport HR and cross functional partners as requiredMaintain strong positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and providersCULTURALDemonstrate Indigo’s values in daily work and interactionsEmbrace learning opportunities and seek feedback for continuous improvementSupport change initiatives and contribute to a culture of adaptabilityPromote inclusivity and respect in all team interactionsSCOPEReports to: Director, Total Rewards & HR TechnologyKEY RELATIONSHIPSHuman ResourcesPayrollFinanceOperationsExternal vendors & consultantsQualificationsQualifications / Experience5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, and HR analyticsStrong knowledge of compensation design, job evaluation, and market pricing methodologiesExperience with compensation survey tools (e.g., Mercer, WTW) and HRIS platforms (preferably UKG)Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL)Solid understanding of employment legislation and pay equity requirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; CCP designation is an assetExperience in the retail or customer service industry is an assetCompetencies / Skills / AttributesStrategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesHigh attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative, curious, and solutions-oriented mindsetAdditional InformationIndigo utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support various aspects of the hiring process, including screening and assessments.
