This role will lead and direct the energy working group and employees to increase energy awareness while maintaining the energy management plan and sites energy budget. The roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off (9.5 hours). This is a local residential role. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. Key result areas will include: Implement the site wide Energy Management Plan Manage the Northern Energy Advantage Program (NEAP) requirements including quarterly and annual reporting Prepare and maintain the annual Energy Budget Identify energy efficient programs and submit applications for large projects Support operation teams in implementing no and low-cost energy initiatives Lead and direct the Energy Working Group to identify improvement opportunities while creating an action plan to implement improvements Maintain a database to track energy consumption based on process Stay up to date on regulatory developments and market conditions and or trends Exploring and researching energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction trends/technologies and their potential applications Perform other duties as assigned.   About you As the Energy Specialist, you will be eligible for a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation and hold a Secondary Degree/Diploma or trade certification in related field.    It is also important that you have/can demonstrate: Demonstrated expertise in energy conservation practices in an industrial or mining setting Experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems Knowledge of energy management topics include peak demand reduction strategies, change management, strategic and energy management. Energy project management experience Advanced analytical skills Advanced knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCad and RETScreen Initiative and maturity to analyze and solve problems Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills Strong attention to detail.   At Evolution, as our name suggests, change and transformation is in our DNA.
