Security Guard | Full-Time - Loyalist CollegePosition: Security Guard | Full-Time - Loyalist College Site: Loyalist College - 376 Wallbridge-Loyalist RdHours: 2200-0800 (Nights Only Continental)Payrate: $18.54/hourOvertime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hoursInternal Posting Date: December 4, 2025 Internal Closing Date: December 11, 2025External Closing Date: December 19, 2025Job Description:Greet and interact with staff, students, and visitors politely and professionally Enforce the parking By-Law regulation of Loyalist College. Patrol all parking lot at loyalist college campus twice during the day. Issue parking tickets to vehicles for unauthorized parking, no parking pass, parking in wrong parking lot, Handicap parking spot without proper handicap pass, in car pool without proper clearance , fire route and on grass. By-Law duty are carried out during inclement weather. Record all ticket into data base at the end of your shift and down load all picture. This position reports to the site supervisor and performs independent, self-directed. The position carries a radio for safety and communication and will be required to testify in court. Ensure all staff, visitors, and vendors are following the protocols Provide assistance as necessary to staff and students Assist visitors as necessary with wayfinding as required Proactive, consistent patrols of the campus Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with maintaining the utmost professionalism Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service orientation Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures Report writing and note taking Surveillance monitoring Additional job duties as assigned Prerequisites:Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Must not be a current Loyalist College studentEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustFrench (oral and written) fluency is considered an assetPrevious experience in security, by-law, parking enforcement - considered an assetMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position but must commute to Kingston for 2 days of in-class trainingPlease be aware: The certification training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally authorized to work in CanadaWhy Choose Paladin?Opportunities for training and professional developmentCompetitive salary and benefits packageWork today, get paid today—daily pay availableFree UniformsSecurity license reimbursementDry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowanceAdditional perks
