We are looking for an energetic and client-orientated Senior Network Consultant for our Edmonton branch. You will be a member of our Service Delivery team and work on multiple projects with various clients. You will build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, while providing consultancy services for the design and implementation of industry leading network solutions. A Day in the Life:Develop network technology solutions, taking into account business and technical requirements, sizing, existing infrastructure, data protection, security requirements and governance and recovery objectives to ensure solutions resolve clients’ requirements and challengesDesign and/or implement standard or custom technical solutionsParticipate in operational escalations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessaryParticipate in implementation of network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardwareCreate relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirementsParticipate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments, and determine hardware or software requirementsWhat You Bring:5+ years of experience in an IT environment with network architecture design and deploymentExperience with networking and security Ability to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and training on the implemented systemsAbility to perform network assessments and design recommendationsStrong troubleshooting skills to resolve network issuesUnderstanding of: Firewalls, IPS/IDSTCP/IP, IPSEC Site to Site VPN, GRE, DMVPN, Client VPN, NAT, VRF technologiesData Center technologies such as VPC, VDC, FcoE, FC, virtual switchingCisco IOS and NXOSCisco Meraki Layer 2 Technologies such as switching, VLAN, spanning treeLayer 3 Routing protocols: MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPFSoftware-defined Networking (SDN)Wireless design and configurationNetwork monitoring solutionsCisco Voice/Call ManagerWhat Makes You Extra Awesome:Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Why Work at Long View?Great people and culture Flexible environment – A workplace that values the importance of flexibility for personal/professional growth, happiness and wellness$80,455 - $105,598 a yearExpected Salary Range plus 10% variable earnings
