Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and mentorship to the Product DevelopersLead the design of new products and oversee continuous improvement and innovation of existing productsCollaborate with the sales team on new product opportunities, and ultimately take these opportunities from a concept through to the marketProduce and implement product manuals including all technical documents, engineering drawings, QC programs, specifications, etc.Ensure execution of test protocols and analysis of the testing resultsConfirm compliance with all regulatory requirements for our products (building codes, environmental, etc.)Oversee product and process improvement including simplifying process design, and trialing more cost-effective materialsResearch and monitor the existing product base and industry developments in order to identify new product opportunitiesPreparation and review of drawings, specifications, and parts lists for commercial projectsPerform other duties within the scope of the role as may be assigned from time to time by managementQualifications:15+ years product development experience, or related research and development experience5+ years’ experience in supervising and coaching team membersProficient in SolidWorks and/or CAD engineering softwareStrong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of productsExcellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitudePost-secondary degree (e.g. Engineering or Industrial Design)Professional Engineering designation is an asset.Ability to communicate verbally in Mandarin or Spanish an asset.Peak is an equal opportunity employer.
