Job Description The - North Battleford is looking for Psychiatrists with a specific interest in forensic work as well as care and treatment of long-term rehabilitation patients.The Saskatchewan Hospital is a 284 bed Psychiatric Facility which includes a 96-bed secure unit that provides support for offenders living with mental health issues.This is an innovative approach for delivering mental health care and supports to two separate groups of people with significant psychiatric rehabilitation needs. There is no out-patient component to this position. On-call duties are shared with the Psychiatrists of the Battlefords Mental Health Centre in a 1 in 6 rotation. Relocation Package Recruitment and Relocation incentive of $25,000.00 available for a 3 year return for service to the Community of North Battleford. This opportunity may be eligible to receive the of up to $200,000, which provides $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community. The , which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $3,500 - $7,000 Job Qualifications Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or have a valid letter of eligibility (Not required if eligible for Ministerial License with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan) Candidates must be eligible for licensure from the .Coverage with the is required.In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. * A valid drivers license * Legal entitlement to work in Canada * Minimum of 3 acceptable references * An acceptable criminal record check with vulnerable sector search * Experience providing Generalist and/or Forensic Psychiatry services within a catchment model * Demonstrable evidence in multidisciplinary approach of care/management * Understanding of Saskatchewan provincial laws and regulations of commitment and release of the mentally ill under the Mental Health Services Act would be an asset Benefits See the SMA website for potential incentives and programs where eligible:
