If that sounds like you, our Commercial Superintendent role could be the opportunity you've been looking for You'll oversee field operations for commercial reconstruction and contracting projects, ensuring your crews and subcontractors perform safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENTAs a Commercial Superintendent, you bring structure, leadership, and accountability to every job site. You coordinate crews, subcontractors, and resources to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship. Each day, you monitor progress, conduct inspections, and collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and adjusters to resolve challenges and keep communication clear. You take ownership of your sites, ensuring quality work, well-documented progress, and a culture of safety and teamwork. Your ability to lead by example and problem-solve in real time helps deliver successful projects and build long-term client trust.Qualifications5+ years of construction or restoration experience with a strong background in site supervision or field managementHigh school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in construction or related field an assetKnowledge of commercial building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirementsProven ability to organize, schedule, and direct multiple crews and subcontractorsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on teamwork and accountabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with project management software and mobile applicationsIICRC certifications or equivalent an asset; ability to obtain provincial asbestos certification requiredValid driver's license and clean driving abstractMust be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gearAbility to travel for extended periods for CAT assignmentsWho We AreAt First Onsite, the work you do every day makes a real impact.
