Join North York General to accelerate your career Position Summary Manager, Project Delivery – Infrastructure and Facilities IntegrationNYG is embarking on the largest capital expansion in its history. A New Patient Care Tower (NPCT) will be constructed on the 4001 Leslie Street site, expanding the existing hospital. The NPCT will be delivered through an Alliance model – the first healthcare alliance in Ontario - in which NYG works as a single integrated team with its design, construction, and technical partners. This collaborative approach requires strong leadership to ensure the hospital’s priorities are consistently reflected while advancing solutions that support best-for-project outcomes.The Manager, Project Delivery (Infrastructure and Facilities Integration) will serve as the Facilities O&M Lead on the Alliance Management Team (AMT) overseeing the technical, architectural, digital, and infrastructure components of the project. This role ensures that building systems, building envelope, site development, utilities, digital infrastructure, fire and life safety systems, ICAT, BAS, mechanical and electrical systems, and commissioning activities are fully integrated into project planning and execution. The role represents NYGH’s interests in building performance, maintainability, asset integration, and long-term operational sustainability.This role provides leadership across site planning, infrastructure integration, system interoperability, commissioning strategy, and technical readiness for Day One operations. It is well suited to an individual with strong experience in facility engineering, building systems, commissioning, or infrastructure project delivery in complex institutional environments. This role also supports Alliance project management and governance processes by coordinating cross-disciplinary inputs, maintaining structured communication pathways, documenting and escalating issues, and contributing to organized, transparent decision making within the integrated project team. On a practical level, you will • Lead Design and Lifecycle Integrationo Lead NYG input into site planning, exterior design, vehicular circulation, emergency routes, loading infrastructure, and site development.o Translate infrastructural and engineering requirements into design criteria, ensuring maintainability, resiliency, and alignment with NYGH standards.o Review building envelope, exterior materials, and systems for lifecycle durability and operational efficiency.o Provide oversight across MEP systems, ICAT, BAS, security systems, fire & life safety, vertical transportation, energy systems, and utilities.o Ensure system interoperability and integration with existing hospital infrastructure.o Coordinate input from engineering, biomedical engineering, ICAT, information services, security, and related technical SMEs.o Support integration of energy performance targets, sustainability strategies, and resiliency considerations into design decisions, ensuring alignment with NYGH’s environmental objectives.o Coordinate hospital facilities, security, ICAT, and related technical SMEs to validate design and system integration.• Lead Commissioning and Readinesso Lead planning for commissioning and integrated systems testing, ensuring readiness of all building systems, digital systems, and operational workflows.o Oversee development of maintenance procedures, asset data collection, O&M manuals, and training plans.o Support the transition to operations by ensuring technical and support service teams are prepared for activation.• Lead Stakeholder Engagement o Facilitate structured engagement hospital facilities, security, ICAT, and related technical SMEs to validate design and system integration.o Represent and consolidate stakeholder input in design reviews, commissioning activities, and operational planning.o Ensure operational considerations are integrated into Alliance decisions and technical reviews.• Coordinate On-Site Activitieso Coordinate DD work, early works, site utilities, and any enabling activities occurring in parallel with Alliance development work.o Work with construction partners to plan shutdowns, system tie-ins, infection control measures, and safety requirements.• Support Alliance Project Management and Governance Supporto Contribute to structured project management processes within the Alliance, including issue tracking, risk reviews, schedule coordination, and integrated planning activities.o Participate in the preparation of governance materials for the Alliance Management Team and NYGH internal committees.o Maintain clear, organized documentation and ensure communication pathways support timely decision making across the project. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Health Administration, Facilities Operations or Project Management designation or equivalent experience.• Master’s Degree in related field preferred• Project Management designation would be an asset (PMP)• Minimum 5 years’ experience with facilities design, technical project delivery, building systems coordination, commissioning, or infrastructure planning within a healthcare or complex institutional environment.• Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary operational and technical stakeholders, such as engineering, ICAT, building automation, security, environmental services, logistics, utilities, and other support service teams.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with hospital leaders, interprofessional teams, consultants, and project partners.• In-depth knowledge of healthcare facility design, operations, and management with a demonstrated ability to translate operational requirements into project inputs, coordinate decision making, and support operational readiness activities.• Strong understanding of building system performance, maintainability, lifecycle considerations, and operational impacts of design and construction decisions.• Experience supporting commissioning, integrated systems testing, operational readiness, or technical handover activities.• Familiarity with capital redevelopment, digital systems integration, or facility operational readiness is considered an asset.• Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and methodologies.
