Job DescriptionExecute chemical processing operations following batch record instructions to ensure the successful completion of batches.Work in accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Production Batch Records, Good Documentation Practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices.Accurate and contemporaneous batch sheet entriesSecond-person verification as required by production batch records. Work closely under supervision with the more experienced members of the team (e.g. Level II/III Process Technicians, Senior Process Technicians and Team Leaders) to complete daily tasks as assigned by the Team Leader on time and with “right the first time” approach. Cleaning of process equipment and facilities.Set-up and insertion of process equipmentExecute routine unit operations under supervision such as:FiltrationsPhase separationsRefluxing operationsAtmospheric distillationsReduced pressure distillationsSafe handling of all chemicals including process waste.Other duties as assigned/required. QualificationsCollege Diploma or Degree preferred but not mandatoryProficient written and verbal English communication skillsWillingness to learnCapable of following detailed instructionsCapable of multi-taskingCapable of sound decision-makingGood interpersonal skillsGood time management skillsGood Documentation Practices (GDP)A working knowledge of cGMP principles preferred but not mandatoryExperience in a chemical manufacturing facility being a definite assetExperience handling hazardous chemicals being a definite assetExperience working with API or formulation pharmaceutical processing equipment, or related experience in food, cosmetics or specialty chemicals being a definite assetExperience working with computerized chemical processing equipment being a definite assetExperience with shift work preferred but not mandatory: 8 hour - 24/5 and/or 12 hour - 24/7 (Continental shift schedule)Additional InformationAt Eurofins we offer excellent full-time benefits including health & dental coverage, life and disability insurance, RRSP with 3% company match, paid holidays, paid time off.Accommodation: Persons with disabilities who need accommodation in the application process, or those needing job postings in an alternative format, may e-mail a request via the website at www.eurofins.ca.As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received international recognition as a great place to work. To learn more about Eurofins, please explore our website at www.eurofins.caWe thank all applicants within commuting distance of GTA, Ontario for showing an interest in this position.
