**Scope**:
The Process Technician, under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, will primarily be responsible to ensure compliance with company policies and standards, for effective and efficient machine startup, adjustments and troubleshooting of injection and blow molding machines, IML and Tronics equipment and associated downline equipment, consistent with company goals. This position will monitor productivity of the molding and labelling process and production scrap. This role will optimize injection and blow molding and labelling processes to increase efficiency, improve product quality and reduce scrap. The Process Technician will work with action teams / continuous improvement teams to identify and resolve molding / machine problems. Setup, troubleshoot and repair downline and other automated equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Initial setup and maintenance of injection molding process and IML, Tronics labelling parameter.
- Start-up equipment and adjust process settings until ‘first off’ qualification is complete.
- Monitor molding and labelling operations to ensure optimum machine efficiency and product quality.
- Identify opportunities for process/cost improvements.
- Work with maintenance in identifying machine and mold problems and help make repairs where possible.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment with adherence to health and safety policies and regulations.
- Respond to production problems on the floor. Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as required.
- Attend to problems with support equipment where capable.
- Work with IML team to ensure smooth production flow, quick efficient machine change overs.
- Work to maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area.
- All other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
- Ensure safe work practices are being followed.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience and demonstrated knowledge and troubleshooting skills in injection molding processes.
- Requires good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a cooperative environment.
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and good manufacturing practices.
- Must have a good knowledge and understanding of product requirements and specifications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mathematical and organizational skills.
- Full understanding of the production schedule.
- Certificates or licenses appropriate to manufacturing industry.
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
- Ability to remain claim and poised in urgent situations.
