Title: Akamai Security Engineer Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 6 Months Introduction We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team for a 6-month contract position. This role involves working with cutting-edge security technologies to protect and manage our digital infrastructure. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven expertise in Akamai technologies. Experience with onboarding and deboarding applications, security configurations, and traffic management. Strong understanding of API Security, DDoS, and Bot management solutions. Proficiency in troubleshooting typical WAF issues. Experience with Security Monitoring and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA). Ability to maintain and administer External Attack Surface Management (EASM). Knowledge of DNS management and social media security. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience creating runbooks for critical incident types. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Manage security configurations and policies to ensure optimal performance and protection. Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and protocols.
