Responsibilities: Complete the preparation of the Company’s Canadian corporate tax returns, including leading the preparation and review of annual SR&ED filings. Preparation of calculations and working paper schedules in supporting the tax returns. Assist in the filing of the Company’s US corporate tax returns. Ensure Canadian and US government remittances, including sales taxes, corporate taxes are submitted on time. Maintain access and compliance with financial portals and systems for Canadian and US tax filings and regulatory submissions. Serve as the point of contact for all tax compliance audits. Assist accounting team in preparation of financial statement tax provisions and disclosures. Research new tax trends and regulations. Liaison with external accounting firm(s) and working closely in all areas with the executive team.
