Category Management Specialist

What you’ll do: Assist Category Managers with category reviews, assortment planning, and growth strategies using business intelligence tools and market data.Create, publish, and maintain accurate planograms to optimize product flow, positioning, and sales performance.Support competitive pricing strategies and promotional initiatives to enhance margins and price perception.Communicate with vendors for samples and POS materials and collaborate with retail teams to resolve planogram-related issues.Who you’ll work with:The Team: You will work closely with other category management specialist and report into the Category Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, problem-solving and team building.The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our consumer products business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Ag Solutions.The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting our local Co-op home centre locations.Why it matters:We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development. Who you are:You are looking for a career in Category Management and:You have 1 – 3 years of relevant wholesale or retail experience, preferably in agribusiness or home innovation categories. Category management and purchasing experience would be an asset.You have a degree in marketing or general business (a combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered).Have advanced skills in Microsoft excel.Are honest, trustworthy, results oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
