The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Webline Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will be responsible for initiating and conducting defined technical tasks usually associated with Process and Product Understanding within a manufacturing environment. Here, you will make an impact by:Supporting engineering aspects of Plant safety improvement plansDeveloping and executing OEE improvement projects on tape adhesive coating and paper treating linesDeveloping and executing yield improvement plans for both design and process scrapSupporting the maintenance and optimization of webline gauging systemsSupporting material substitution projects to help drive down unit costSupporting new product introduction effortsSupporting implementation of renewal, cost reduction and growth-related capital projectsSupporting a 24/7 production environmentTo set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualificationsCollege diploma or bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start) in an electrical or industrial controls field.Five (5) years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience with Siemens and Schneider industrial controls platformsExperience with webline variable frequency drive systems, webline steering and tension controlsMinimum of three (3) years working with cross-functional teamsDemonstrated strength in engineering/technical skillsSelf-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passionTravel: May include up to 5% domectic/internationalRelocation: Not offeredWhat We Offer: Comprehensive Benefit Plan, RSP plan, Stock Purchase Plan, Incentive Plan, and Defined Contribution Pension PlanHealth & Wellness subsidiesIndividual Development Plan and Tuition Reimbursement ProgramWe work to reflect the diversity of our global customers, suppliers and channel partners, and build on each individual employee’s abilities.At 3M, we know that inclusion is the key to unlocking the power of our diversity.
