We are looking for a Rigging Inspector to join our team in Dartmouth, NS. Inspectors perform inspections and testing of below-the-hook lifting gear, rigging and fall arrest gear to ensure safety certification is in accordance with provincial and federal regulationsWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes:Wage ranges from $20-$23/hour (depending on experience)Inspector Bonus Plan offeredGenerous RPP matching program5%(after one year)Full health and dental benefits (shared costs)Great schedule-Monday to Friday 8-5Personal & Professional Development OpportunitiesFun & engaging working environmentPrinciple ResponsibilitiesPerforms inspections on below the hook lifting gear, rigging gear, and fall protection devicesCompletes reports on inspected items neatly and accuratelyAssist in other departments as needed such as rigging and warehouse dutiesSubmits reports to administration upon completion or daily depending on job specificationsMaintains paperwork and records of used inventory for billing and certification purposesMaintains company equipment used on a daily/weekly/monthly basisWilling to work away and/or travel to job sitesRequired knowledge and trainingHigh school diploma or equivalentNo previous experience required (all training will be provided)Mechanical skill is an assetKnows how to use toolsBe able to work in different types of weather climatesAble to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist levelMust hold a valid driver’s license and be insurableMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaThe Hercules Group of Companies is a national leader in industrial lifting, rigging, material handling, and safety solutions, proudly supporting critical industries across Canada.
