Tomlinson is seeking to fill an immediate requirement for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic based out of our Heavy Equipment Division at 5151 Albion Road, Ottawa. This position is full-time permanent position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types and brands of heavy equipment.  Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine repairs and create detailed service reports.  Contribute to the ongoing reliability of all heavy equipment and ensure compliance with preventitve maintenance requirements.  Test repaired equipment to verify proper maintenance.  Preparation of accurate written repair order sheets and reports Interpretation of service manuals, schematics, lube charts, repair orders, etc. WORKING CONDITIONS Overtime as required Work successfully and efficiently with minimal supervision EXPERIENCE At least 4 years’ experience, ideally with mechanic’s license Experience with diesel engine equipment and some experience with gasoline engine experience, specifically Caterpillar & John Deer.
