We believe our growth and success can be directly attributed to the emphasis we place on service, quality, and innovation and the involvement, commitment, and enthusiasm of our employees. We are currently looking for a PRESS OPERATOR to join our BURLINGTON team.  This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will be responsible for the operation of vinyl presses to produce high quality vinyl records for fulfillment of assigned customer orders. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environmentThis position operates on a weekly rotation of days (7am-3pm) and afternoons (3pm-11pm) shift basis and is eligible for shift premium.Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to submit a clear Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to start date.ResponsibilitiesOperate vinyl presses to produce materials consistent with customer specifications while ensuring quality standards are met and adhering to all safety standards and regulationsRead work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specificationsSet up, start and shut down machines (extruders, hydraulic and pneumatic presses) & monitor their operations, restocking materials as requiredConsistently meet or exceed identified target attainment goals on a daily and monthly basis Perform quality audits at point of manufacture Perform routine general maintenance on machines and work area daily; maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area at all timesDetermine and report product and equipment malfunctions to appropriate parties; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as necessary Maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality control auditsEnsure to work following all Company policies and proceduresWork collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiencyTargeted reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labour)Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (colleagues, supervisors and other departments)Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or designatePhysical DemandsRequired to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift)Involves repetitive motions for duration of shift; use of hands and wrist continuously in a controlled environment; Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containersDue to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditions Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50lbs occasionallyAdaptable to relative sound pressure levelsRequirements/QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredUse of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory Must be willing to work all shifts & to work overtime as business needs requireMust be able to meet physical demands of the jobExcellent communication skills: written, electronic and oralMust have strong attention to detailMust be capable of working in stressful situations in times of needMust be able to work well with others and in a team atmospherePrevious experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredWe thank you in advance for your application, however only successful candidates will be contacted. Precision Record Pressing is committed to and supports diversity and inclusion practices.
