We are 18,000 projects and counting – improving lives and helping shape the growth of sustainable, progressive and inclusive communities.Your roleWe are looking for a Assistant Project Manager in Thunder Bay, Dryden or Kenora to join our team and support projects in Northern Ontario In this role, you’ll support experienced project managers and get the opportunity to sharpen your skills on diverse range of projects varying in scope and complexity across Northern Ontario. You will grow your project management skills by contributing to various projects from commercial buildings and fit-ups, social organizations, schools, water and wastewater and Indigenous communities. Take a positive approach to your work and enjoy learning and contributing new ideas and solutions. Build strong relationships with your teammates and project stakeholders, all while growing within your role Our approach goes beyond the project to the people – who are the heart of it all. Responsibilities You will be a communication link between the Project Manager, client and other stakeholdersProvide project support to Project Managers by managing schedule updates, maintaining project controls, developing progress reports and preparing tender and contract documentsEnsure project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders’ Quality Management SystemAttend project meetings, documenting action items and key decisions to share with the teamProvide relief support to other Assistant Project Managers or Project Managers, as required  Qualifications A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience2-3 years’ experience supporting the delivery of projects in areas such as construction, engineering or architecturePrevious experience can include summer work terms, co-operative education programs or internshipsAn overall general understanding of current construction practicesCAPM, LEED or other relevant industry accreditation is considered a strong asset, but not requiredProficient communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivation, initiative and an eagerness to learn and contributeHighly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS ExcelExpected Compensation: $58,965 – $74,574 per year (CAD)This compensation range represents our good-faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration.
