Now is an exciting time to join this one-of-a-kind place…SAIT.Reporting to the Academic Chair, the Instructor will professionally manage the learning process of the students and ensure that students achieve established learning objectives to the maximum of their potential. This requires resourcing materials, methods, techniques, and strategies to ensure student success and outcomes are met. This role requires collaborative work with colleagues to create a learning environment which is pedagogically sound, technically supported, and innovative in nature. The position may teach in either the Data Analytics or Integrated Artificial Intelligence post-diploma certificate programs. How you'll contributePrepare and present lessons, assignments, quizzes, exams, activities, tutorials, demonstrations and labs for learnersPresent material in an engaging and interactive wayInclusion of past industry experiences into lesson planning and deliveryMaintain records for the purpose of grading, assess professionalism and track attendance in both theory and lab classesOrganized and concise record keeping and file managementManage the classroom or lab to ensure a positive learning environmentShow personal interest in the learner and create a climate conducive to optimal learning Mentorship, guidance, relatabilityAttend and contribute to Team meetings and continuous collaboration with Academic Chair and other instructional staff to provide the highest degree of learner experienceWhat you bringEducation & ExperienceRequired: Bachelor’s degree, in-fieldRequired: 3-5 years in industry, working in an intermediate to senior data science and/or AI related rolesRequired: 1-3 years’ experience teaching, training, coaching, or mentoringPreferred: industry certifications, Microsoft, Tableau, AWS QuickSight, IBM, Google, etcTechnical Expertise in three or more of the following competenciesAI & Machine Learning: Proficiency in ML algorithms, deep learning architectures, NLP, computer vision, and model evaluationProgramming & Tools: Strong skills in Python/R and modern libraries (, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), plus experience with Jupyter, Git, and OpenAI/Hugging Face toolsData Analysis and Handling: Expertise in data preprocessing, analysis, visualization, and working with large datasets using SQL and data science toolsApplied AI & Deployment: Ability to design, train, and deploy AI models using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrate into real-world systemsAI Ethics & Responsible Use: Solid understanding of fairness, bias, transparency, and ethical considerations in AI applications Instructional Skills RequiredInstructional Delivery: Clear communication of complex topics in an engaging and understandable wayAssessment Design: Creating assessments and rubrics that fairly evaluate student learningMentorship & Advising: Providing guidance to students on projects, careers, and researchHuman Skills RequiredCollaboration: Working effectively with colleagues in interdisciplinary departments.Critical Thinking: Encouraging and demonstrating analytical problem-solving skills in and out of the classroomOrganization & Time Management: Ability to balance and organize teaching, office hours, grading, prep-work and professional dutiesAdaptability: Willingness to adjust approach based on feedback and new technologiesWe thank all applicants for their interest in joining our team We know being ghosted is the worst, so be assured – you’ll hear from us either way.
