Toromont Cat is looking for a Technology Technician to join our team The Technology Technician is responsible for the installation and support for Product Link Technology and other equipment support in field EM Services as requiredAs a Technology Technician, YOU will experience: Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: Demonstrate safe work and environmentally sound behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives. Schedule and perform Product Link installations and troubleshooting in the field Conduct repairs to minimize downtime and reduce cost Complete service reports and work order details Complete before failure Service Letters Obtain SOS Samples Complete equipment inspections as required Perform Maintenance Inspections Perform after hours/on-call/overnight rotations and travel to assigned territories weekly Must-haves for this role: Post-Secondary Education (A Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician would be an asset) Highly safety conscious with solid experience with electrical and electronic troubleshooting Customer centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and analytical with excellent relationship management Effective time-management and planning with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities Organized with the ability to maintain a high level of customer service in a fast paced, deadline driven work force Positive team player and proactive in delivering solutions with a sense of urgency Process improvement mindset with strong problem solving abilities Self-motivated with strong initiative, high integrity and the ability to make independent decisions Well-developed computer skills and familiarity with Cat Systems would be an asset Willing and able to work flexible hours and travel extensively in support of business requirements A valid Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract About Toromont Cat With over 4,000 employees and 56 locations from Manitoba to Newfoundland, Toromont Cat has a proven track record, industry knowledge, dealership infrastructure, and service mindset to ensure our Construction, Mining, and Power Generation customers succeed.
