At Central Alberta Co-op, we're looking for a full-time Agro Advisor II to join our dynamic team at our Crossfield Agro Centre. If you’re organized, customer-focused, and eager to contribute, this could be the perfect role for youPosition: Agro Advisor IIFull-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.Availability: Weekdays and eveningsResponsibilities:Provide superior service and technical advice to Central Alberta Co-op guestsProvide field scouting as requested and relay the findings to the guests and to the other agronomy teamWork with Agronomy team, Site supervisor and Agro Manager as requiredBe responsible for pricing, providing competitive intel, sales and inventory management of crop protection productsDevelop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customer baseActively pursue and encourage cross marketing of products and services with growersSoil sampling and analysis of their results, consulting a more senior agronomist if requiredAssist in warehouse operations including receiving, shipping and delivery of productsWork with the location team to ensure timely delivery of products and servicesAttending supplier events to stay up to date on current trends and productsBe familiar with and follow all Central Alberta Co-op policies and procedures, AWSA regulationsPerform additional duties as assigned by the managerQualifications:Undergraduate degree in Agriculture or a related field1–3 years of relevant experience in the agriculture or crop input industryExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsWHMIS and TDG certification (or willingness to complete)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is requiredAbility to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak seasonsStrong team player with a proactive, goal-driven attitude and commitment to ongoing learningTotal Rewards:At Central Alberta Co-op, we value our team members and are committed to their well-being and success.
