We're seeking a Specialist, Repair Ops Support - Canada who is ready to help us deliver on our commitments today, plan our strategy for the future and leave their fingerprints on the organization for years to come. Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated repair operations support team member. This role will work with the Central Operating Area to directly support the repair business and open order superintendents. You will do a variety of tasks that will help accelerate workable backlog and ensure timely billing in support of the superintendents and General Managers in the Central operating territory.What you'll do: Source material quotes from vendors and issue PO/VPO as neededUpdate project notes in Smartsheets on a daily basisCustomer relations lead - Order confirmed with customer/thank them for their businessObtain and action applicable contract/customer PO'sComplete permit application and assist in scheduling crews (if necessary)Order material as neededReceive material for internal process trackingWork with Superintendent on schedulingProgress billing (where applicable)Contact customer with scheduled date/timeIf schedule changes calendar updated/customer notifiedPre-inspection verification (larger OO jobs)Payment tracking - Ensure job has been paid prior to final turnoverNotify customer job is fully complete & final bill will be comingVerify all PO's are paid in the systemVerify no more labor & material will hit the job – Inventory ControlAction and initiate final bill in FSSAssist with Upgrade App issues/opportunities/adoption from the fieldMechanic Pay discrepancy tracking and investigation (as needed)What You Will Need to be Successful:Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferredCandidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customersNeed to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilitiesSuccessful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software.Strong leadership skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skillsIf you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day.
