About the roleWe're looking for an Underwriting Assistant, Commercial Lines, to join our growing teamWhat you'll do here:Handle insurance policy endorsements and cancellations.Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously.Assist Underwriters with the administration of complex policies.Apply underwriting strategies in accordance with company guidelines and personal underwriting authority limits.Support brokers regarding underwriting and rating policies.Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with brokers and co-workers.Use the computer system for policy inquiry, electronic filing, underwriting and rating transactions.Make recommendations to improve the department and increase its efficiency.What you bring to the table:Minimum 2 years of relevant experienceStrong typing skills to process daily workHighly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervisionExcellent communication skills both written and verbalInitiative and ability to work under pressureSound knowledge of Microsoft Office products and computer toolsTeam playerNo Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.What we offer Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Working here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
