Hiring Requirements: Lead and develop the plant management team to achieve quality, production and safety goals that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers in the most cost efficient manner. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direct supervision to production supervisors and hourly associates. Manage safe, cost effective and efficient production of our products, relying upon supervisory, quality assurance, maintenance and sanitation resources to continue to improve against standard. Continuously improve our manufacturing operating (financial and process) results and efficiencies while meeting customer expectations and minimizing waste. Ensure employee safety and overall compliance to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and ensure WCB injury cases are managed effectively and promote early and safe return of workers. Ensure open and effective communications with all other departments, to ensuring optimal quality standards, maintenance of equipment, and trouble-free and on-time manufacturing. Maintain a positive union and associate-relations environment in support of cost effective production of quality products by all plant workers. Achieve productivity, quality & safety targets. Meet/exceed internal & external customers’ expectations. Involvement and leadership in Continuous Improvement Programs to achieve productivity improvements. Ensure a safe working environment evidenced by an exemplary safety record and compliance to the OH&S regulations. Must be knowledgeable and be able to follow GMPs, Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements Experience & Education: Must have post secondary education and/or technical related work experience. (Prefer an engineering background.) Formal technical baking education is an asset (AIB). Food processing/manufacturing experience or five years experience in a related industry. 5 years plus in Management and Supervisory experience Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word). Superior communication skills in a multi-cultural environment. Takes initiative, exercises good judgment in day-to-day business decisions. Ability to develop subordinates to the next level.
