Cancer Care Alberta is currently looking for a Radiation Therapist III to join our team at the new Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager of Radiation Therapy you will join a dedicated and collaborative, interdisciplinary team that includes Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, Allied Health, Nursing, Administrative professionals. Growing your career at the Arthur Child will encompass a bright modern facility design that bridges leading research and treatment options with an overarching goal of continuous advancement and the best in patient cancer care. You will work with innovative treatment technologies and diagnostic equipment that include but will not be limited to CT and MRI simulators, adaptive RT utilizing MR Linac technology, external beam radiation with Varian Linacs, MRI guided brachy therapy, a provincial TBI program and much more. Please note successful candidates will be eligible for relocation expense reimbursement that align with organizational policy and schedules.Description: As a Radiation Therapist III, you will be responsible for the initiation, coordination, collaboration, development and revision of processes within your department of Radiation Oncology. These processes include: the review and opening of clinical trials, patient accruals, active treatments, Quality Assurance reviews, and technical data submissions. You will have direct supervision over Radiation Therapist I's & II's and will be their first point of contact when assistance is required for problem solving, complex set ups, troubleshooting errors and general equipment utilization. In addition, you will be responsible for attending and providing in-services and training as required to ensure excellent facilitation of clinical studies in the department of Radiation Oncology. Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada; or an accredited non-Canadian program. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: As required.
