Cancer Care Alberta is currently looking for a Radiation Therapist II to join our team at the new Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager of Radiation Therapy you will join a dedicated and collaborative interdisciplinary team comprised of Radiation Therapists, Dosimetrists, Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Allied Health, Nursing and Administrative professionals. Growing your career at the Arthur Child will encompass a bright modern facility design that bridges leading research and treatment options with an overarching goal of continuous advancement and the best in patient cancer care. You will work with innovative treatment technologies and equipment that include but will not be limited to CT, PETCT, MRI simulators, MR Linacs utilizing adaptive treatment workflows, external beam radiation with Varian True Beam Linacs, Edge Linear Accelerators, MRI guided brachytherapy, a provincial TBI program, Dosimetry specialization opportunities and much more. We look forward to your application.Description: As a Radiation Therapist II, you will be responsible for the organization and quality of work within your assigned Radiation Oncology Department. You will be responsible for the supervision of Radiation Therapist I's, coaching staff and students, and orientating new staff. You will ensure your team of therapists deliver accurate and precise treatment as well as ensuring Quality Assurance procedures are carried out. You will monitor the performance of equipment/machines and document and report any problems. Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or an accredited non-Canadian program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies (ACMDTT)Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
