The Vancouver PDC (located in Langley Twp) is currently seeking applicants to fill Warehouse Attendant positions. The facility supports the western Canadian portion of the network which spans across four provinces and two territories.As an integral part of team, you will perform multiple hands-on tasks associated with warehousing functions in a standardized, structured environment. You will be part of one team of engaged, customer-centric employees delivering outstanding results who share in General Motors’ purpose and values.Location: Langley, British ColumbiaShifts: Day Shift - 10:00am - 6:30pm (partial shifts maybe scheduled)Hours: 32 - 24 hours/week (Hours to be determined based on business needs and candidate availability)Wage: $29.90/hr.Physical Demands of the Job:The successful candidate will be required to perform the following actions:Walk and/or transport automotive parts via carts.Reach, move, push, pull, and/or lift automotive parts with both arms.Bend and/or twist repetitively.Grip and pinch with both hands and use various hand tools as well as a scannerCandidates must be comfortable working at heightsSuccessful Candidates will also Demonstrate:A strong safe work ethic and a can/do demeanorA dedication to continuous improvement and job developmentRespect for people and our policies and valuesAbility to listen to, understand and communicate instruction in EnglishOvertime may be required as business needs dictate.RequirementsCandidates applying for this position must be available to work up to 40 hours/weeklyAbility to lift approximately 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Ability to stand for up to 8-hours a day.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform and meet job requirements.High School diploma or GED.Knowledge of safety awareness, quality, and compliance.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies.Candidates must be comfortable working at heightsTHIS JOB IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RELOCATIONS BENEFITS.
