Application Deadline: We will review applications on a rolling-basisDuration: 8 months Positions Available: 1Start Date: January 5, 2026 For this exciting position, we are specifically seeking students who have a background in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster and Emergency Management, Business Administration or a related field. Supporting the Digital Risk Practice and Resilience team, this role provides hands-on experience in cyber security, operational resilience, and business operations. The co-op will contribute to initiatives that strengthen our ability to anticipate, withstand, and recover from disruptions, whether they arise from cyber threats, technology failures, or third-party dependencies. This opportunity will enable the co-op to explore diverse perspectives, broaden your abilities, and gain unparalleled exposure, all within a single co-op term If you are not currently located in the area of this co-op position, you must be willing to either commute or relocate to the surrounding area for the entire duration of the co-op term. You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (the candidate will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable. In addition to excellent compensation, Teck co-ops receive a variety of advantages including but not limited to: Financial assistance to help with travel costs and co-op fees Opportunity to develop technical skills and gain practical experience while applying academic knowledge to real-world mining operations and projects Enjoy mentorship and guidance from experienced specialists in their respective fields Receive primary consideration for professional positions upon graduation Key ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to, and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Champion the 3 lines of defense model for risk management and act as a 2nd line of defense facilitator regularly interacting with the 1st line of defense Collaborate with team members to plan, implement, and report phishing simulation campaigns, as well as engaging content to communicate cyber security threats and standard processes Collaborate with team members to implement the multi-year global technology resilience initiative including service design delivery, gaps analysis, disaster recovery technology requirements and implementation, and disaster recovery planning Assist in the delivery and maintenance of business operations, not limited to maintaining performance and compliance dashboards, developing performance reports and presentations, alongside maintaining various budget management support materials Assist in documenting procedures and guidelines related to digital risk and resilience Collaborate with multi-functional teams and maintain and update resilience metrics, key performance indicators, and dashboards QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Computer Science, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster and Emergency Management, Business Administration or a similar field Proven Teck values in being responsible and courageous, respectful and inclusive, and humble and driven Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging materials Preliminary understanding of business administration, such as accounting, marketing, and operations management Basic knowledge of cyber security concepts and frameworks Basic understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint) Experience with PowerBI is preferred but not required Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail Adaptability and flexibility, the ability to communicate effectively, professionally with diverse groups Pay Range: CAD $4,000 - $5,100 per monthThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
