Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in maintaining and repairing the airport baggage handling system. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with automated systems, ensuring that all baggage operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role will work under direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor or Residential Site Manager. This is an onsite role within Calgary Airport. Must be able to work rotating shifts; including days, nights, weekends and holidays.Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical components of the baggage handling system.Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems in control systems, motors, and wiring.Collaborate with mechanical technicians to ensure integrated system functionality.Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades.Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and upgrades to existing systems.Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.Respond promptly to electrical system failures and work to minimize downtime.Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings.Report spare parts usage.Hourly Rate: $36.02 QualificationsSkills/Experience/Authorizations Required:High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Electrical Technology preferred. Journeyman Electrician experience preferred.Minimum 1 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an airport or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, and control systems.Experience with PLCs, motor drives, and automated systems.Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.RAIC Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain such clearanceWillingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.Additional InformationBEUMER is an innovative intralogistics company, where every employee is part of the "family".
