Electrical Technician, Calgary Airport

Integrity, Inspiration, Quality and Teamwork **Responsibilities**: - Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical components of the baggage handling system. - Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems in control systems, motors, and wiring. - Collaborate with mechanical technicians to ensure integrated system functionality. - Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades. - Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and upgrades to existing systems. - Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations. - Respond promptly to electrical system failures and work to minimize downtime. - Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed. - Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings. - Report spare parts usage. Hourly Rate: $36.02 **Qualifications** Skills/Experience/Authorizations Required**: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Electrical Technology preferred. Journeyman Electrician experience preferred. - Minimum 1 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an airport or industrial environment. - Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, and control systems. - Experience with PLCs, motor drives, and automated systems. - Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools. - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - ** RAIC Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain such clearance**: - Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
