This role is responsible for developing long-term social media and digital communication plans including advertising campaigns that integrate with our multi-layered marketing campaigns and property operations. You will oversee daily channel management, and ensure all social activity supports brand positioning, business objectives, and audience growth. The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, and highly collaborative. You are comfortable with capturing images and video meant for social media and digital communications, but this is secondary to the role of strategy, planning and daily management of our social posts and paid online advertising campaigns.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & PlanningDevelop and captain the company’s social media strategy in alignment with overall brand, marketing, and business goalsDefine platform-specific strategies, audience segmentation, and content direction in partnership with internal creative teams for both social platforms and online advertising campaigns such as Bell Media, Meta and Google Ads.Manage planning for campaigns, product launches, seasonal initiatives, and always-on social programmingEstablish best practices, governance, and documentation for social media and digital communication executionIn-House Social Media and Digital Communication ManagementOversee day-to-day management of all brand social media channelsManage publishing schedules, workflows, and approvals across internal teamsEnsure consistent brand voice, messaging, and compliance across platforms with Direction from the Director of MarketingAct as the internal subject matter expert on social media with direction from the Director of MarketingCross-Functional Collaboration and Team WorkThis position is part of the Marketing, Brand, Creative, Communications, and PR Team of Argus Hospitality and Argus Properties. You will collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams of Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort, Four Points Kelowna Airport and the restaurants and food and beverage departments at all of Argus Properties. Align social media and communication initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and company priorities as led by the Director of MarketingCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies or vendors, as neededYou will report to the Director of Marketing, and provide weekly reporting on social media platform performance and ad performanceCommunity & Brand OversightWork with the Director of Marketing to establish and oversee community management standards and response guidelinesMonitor brand sentiment, conversations, and emerging issuesPartner with Communications or PR teams on escalation and crisis managementAnalytics & Performance OptimizationDefine KPIs and success metrics for social media performance and paid ad performanceAnalyze performance data and provide regular insights, reporting, and recommendationsContinuously optimize strategy based on performance trends and business outcomesTrend, Platform & Competitive LeadershipStay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry trendsConduct competitive and market analysis to identify growth opportunitiesRecommend new platforms, tools, and strategic initiatives for the brandPaid Social Strategy (If Applicable)Collaborate with internal media or marketing teams to support paid social strategyEnsure alignment between organic and paid social efforts across hospitality departments, such as event sales, room sales and food and beverage and events.QualificationsRequired3+ years of experience in social media strategy and in-house managementDeep understanding of major social platforms, digital platforms (such as Bell Media, Youtube, and Stingray) and best practicesStrong experience with analytics, reporting, and performance measurementExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a corporate environmentPreferredExperience working with cross-functional teams in a mid-to-large organizationFamiliarity with paid social advertising and campaign optimizationExperience in [industry, if applicable]Key Skills & CompetenciesStrategic thinking and long-term planningStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsBrand stewardship and attention to detailLeadership and influence without direct authorityAdaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefitsOpportunity to shape the brand’s social media presenceCollaborative, in-house team environmentProfessional growth and development opportunities
