Responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting down to the root cause level and identification of process improvement opportunities. This role supports technical activities under the guidance of the production team. This position demands a proactive approach, technical proficiency, and a commitment to continuous learning and teamwork.RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:Engages in the setup and operation of Intermediate level manufacturing equipment to existing specifications, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.Handles intermediate level production tasks and issues as necessary, ensuring compliance with quality standards and that products meet process specifications and standards.Provides support in basic daily and weekly appraisal and rudimentary maintenance of equipment and tools necessary for the electronic manufacturing processes.Demonstrates a in-depth knowledge of electronics processes and assembly, with an ability to interpret technical documentation effectively.Executes new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Tackles complex technical problems, independently, proposing feasible solutions and effectively communicate them to appropriate stakeholders.Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and contributing to decision-making.Executes and supports the integration of new technologies and systems, provides feedback, Enhancing efficiency and product performance. Ensures accurate records and adherence to protocols.Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on existing processes and implements and optimizes production processes, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.Conducts intermediate level troubleshooting and problem-solving, providing expert-level technical support to the manufacturing teamLeads projects or sub-projects under the broader scope of manufacturing programs, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure on time delivery.Provides technical support and guidance to junior technicians, enhancing team skills and productivity.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Required ExperienceHigh School Degree, GED or military training experience. With a focus on vocational skills preferredMinimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.Skills RequiredAdvanced understanding of electronics manufacturing and troubleshooting.Knowledgeable about IPC 610 Standard and/or J-STD-001.Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and specifications.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior technicians or interns.Effective understanding of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.Familiar with PLM, MES, and CMMS systems.What you need to know:You need to be legally eligible to work full-time in British Columbia, Canada for any employerOffer of employment contingent on successful background checkShift: Day (Monday to Friday, 7AM-3:30PM)This is a full-time, regular/indefinite positionBase Pay: The anticipated pay range for this position is CDN $22.00–$29.00 per hour.
