We are looking for a knowledgeable and client-facing Intermediate Citrix and Virtualization Consultant for our Calgary branch to support our client with designing, implementing and upgrading various Citrix and virtualization technologies You will also have sufficient technical depth to work with other virtualization, server and storage technologies.A Day in the Life: Provide senior technical support for all server infrastructure components (hardware, software, OS, firmware, network, cloud infrastructure)Consult with users and evaluate requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analysis, plan projects, and coordinate tasks for projectsWork with teammates to design and implement complex solutionsInstallation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of servers, with a focus on utilizing technology to achieve business objectivesAct as Tier 3 escalation point for service deskPerform incidents root cause analysis and identify work around or fixWhat You Bring: 5+ years of working experience within an Enterprise environment, supporting diverse IT Infrastructure platforms3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with the Citrix ecosystem, including XenApp, XenDesktop, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront Servers, Citrix Gateways and Profile management with FSLogix Technical knowledge with 4+ years of experience in Windows and Red Hat Linux Server operating systems in an enterprise environment3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with the architectural and/or deployment and/or operational support of VMware vSphere Hypervisor/ESXiExperience in an Airline setting considered an assetExperience with scripting and automation skills (VMware PowerCLI, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell Puppet, and/or Ansible).Requires advanced problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in managing service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance targetIncident and problem management skillsExcellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple itemsWillingness to learn related technology and business processAbility to determine root cause from outcomesWhat Makes You Extra Awesome: Experience with Citrix NetscalerApplication Virtualization experience (App-V or Citrix App Layering)Why Work at Long View?
