As an Import Customs Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely clearance of goods through customs. This role is well-suited for someone detail-oriented, compliance-focused, and eager to contribute to a growing trade services team.Advantages• Competitive annual salary• Part of the annual, discretionary bonus plan• Health and dental insurance (100% of premiums paid by company) after 3 months employment• Telus Virtual Health Care Telemedicine after 3 months of employment• 2 weeks paid vacation per year, 3 weeks after 1.5 years of employment• 5 personal days• Hybrid work model, 2 day per week from home• 50% subsidized gym membership to Fit Form West Island• Flex Friday work hours• Casual-professional work environment• Weekly fresh fruit program in the office• Brand new, beautiful head office• Free onsite parking with free electric car charging stations• Outdoor patio for lunches and events• Company events paid by the companyResponsibilities• Review and validate import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Understand and apply tariff schedules, preferential treatments, and compliance requirements.• Transmit entry data and supporting documentation to customs authorities.• Monitor cargo status and follow up on holds, exams, or release delays.• Collaborate with brokers, forwarders, and logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance.• Work collaboratively across departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations• Support internal compliance initiatives, audits, and reporting.• Contribute directly to the success of the Trade Services team by safeguarding compliance and reducing risk.• Support other operational tasks as required.Qualifications• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation preferred.• U.S. and Canada customs clearance experience.
