Research Assistant IV – Department of Psychiatric Nursing

Duties: * Conduct high-level and complex academic research and literature searches. * Collect and manage research data, conduct advanced analysis of research results and document findings. *Organize and host seminars, focus groups, community meetings, special events, and other forms of public engagement. *Support funding procurement and staffing supervision. * Prepare and submit applications required by Ethics boards *Manage budget, purchase supplies, and arrange travel and other necessities for the research project as approved. * Maintain engagement and communication with community research partners, and research team. * Prepare and submit documentation required by funding agencies. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Experience: The ideal candidate will: have a master’s degree in a related field, have completed research methodology courses at a graduate level, have extensive research skills, and sound judgment, have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively; strong written communication skills are especially important. possess strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and be self-motivated. have the ability to work independently and with others effectively. have experience with project management and supervising staff. have the ability to uphold high standards of confidentiality and research integrity. knowledge about trauma informed care, trauma informed research and qualitative research is an asset. This position requires in-person meetings in Brandon Manitoba, as well as travel in Manitoba. Ability for the same is essential.
