Working conditions may include restricted movement, dirty environments, hazardous materials, moderate physical duties and working at heights. Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installationsCut, bend, thread and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittingsPull wire through conduits and ceiling spacesInstall, replace and repair electrical equipment.Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, remove and replace faulty componentsSplice, join and connect wire to components to form complete control systemsAdhere to all company policies and proceduresPerform tasks with minimal supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and proceduresPerform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations Qualifications Indentured Apprentice in Alberta (1st - 4th year) with conduit experienceHigh School degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified collegeKnowledge of electrical theory and terminologyExperience with HVAC, building automation systems and VFD’s an assetAbility to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematicsExcellent command of the English Language, both written and oralStrong attention to detail, ability to execute precision workCommercial / Construction installations experienceClass 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
