Your mission will be to: Position SummaryThis position is responsible for performing sample analysis in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures (SOP) and health and safety policies.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform sample preparation (login and aliquoting) according to SOP and WIPerform sample analysis (sample extraction, batch loading and data processing) using documented test methodsPerform with the maintenance and running of the ELISA, UHPLC/HRMS, LC/MS/MS and HPLC instruments, as requiredMeet quality specifications defined by the laboratory to meet client and lab accreditation requirementsCommunicate with senior staff for daily workload to accommodate due datesEnsure that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintainedInvestigate problems, take remedial action as required and identify actions to prevent recurrence; maintain records.Participate in developing SOP’s and general work instructionsIdentify, communicate and record non-conformances to Supervisor/ManagerAdhere to Code of Ethics PolicySupport and comply with all the policies, Quality System and Health & Safety programParticipate, when requested in lab and health and safety meetingsParticipate, when requested in internal and external auditsKeep work area clean, neat and organizedMaintain training records and relevant qualificationsOther related duties as assigned.At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.CommunicationInternal: Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Technical Support Groups, Human Resources, peers for support and information YOUR PROFILE Qualifications Required Degree in a chemical science or equivalent from a recognized academic institution and a minimum of 1 years of laboratory experience, preferably related to drug analysisObtaining the Security Screening Certificate and Briefing Form at the Protected B Reliability Status is MANDATORYWorking knowledge of the operation of analytical instruments including HPLC, LC/MS/MS and LC/HRMSExperience with instrument software packages such as Agilent Chemstation, Sciex OS, Thermo Fisher Xcalibur and TraceFinder, and Waters MassLynxUnderstanding of Forensic Principles including chain of custodyKnowledge of Quality Assurance Principles and Quality Control ProceduresSuccess Factors / Job CompetenciesAnalytical Skills: Evaluating operational data.Attention to Detail: Focusing on operational specifics.Communication Skills: Clear information exchange.Knowledge of Industry Regulations: Understanding operational guidelines.Problem-Solving Skills: Resolving operational issues.Process Optimization: Improving operational processes.Project Management: Overseeing operational projects.Team Collaboration: Working well with colleagues.Time Management: Efficient use of time.Adaptability: Adjusting to operational changes.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentRegularly required to stand, walk, and handle chemicals and laboratory equipment.Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Must have fine motor skills for precise measurements and handling of chemicals.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.High level of work production in fast paced lab environmentMay require flexible workings hours, overtime and shift workMay involve periods of standingHazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate PPESome lifting and carrying and repetitive taskTravelMinimal travel is required, primarily for industry conferences or collaborative research meetings.Compensation Package Overview: Compensation Range $ - $ hourly CADFull Time Eligible Benefits Overview:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.Generous vacation package to support work-life balance following state and local ordinances. The information above provides a general overview and may vary based on specific job responsibilities, location, or other factors.
