THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELLAsthe Business Development Manager for Benefits Administration Services, you will play a crucial role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and managing the end-to-end sales process. This role requires a strong understanding of the benefits administration landscape and the ability to create customized solutions for potential clients in various industries.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify and target prospective clients within the benefits administration space, including large enterprises, mid-market organizations to drive new revenue growth.Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and benefits administration challenges.Build trusted relationships with executives and decision-makers within prospect organizations. Position yourself as a strategic advisor, guiding them through their benefits administration needs and providing tailored solutions.Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with brokers, consultants, and benefits advisors. Collaborate with these key industry partners to expand business opportunities, offer comprehensive benefits solutions, and enhance the organization presence in the marketplace.Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to promote the company’s benefits administration services, targeting specific industries and sectors.Collaborate with internal teams including GreenShield Insurance team to develop customized proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that demonstrate the value of our benefits administration solutions and align with clients’ business objectives.Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet both client needs and business profitability targets.Conduct market research to understand emerging trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings in benefits administration, keeping the company informed and competitive in the marketplace.Forecast sales activity and pipeline metrics with accuracy, leveraging insights to inform and refine prospecting strategies.Identify potential partnership opportunities with benefits technology providers, consultants, brokers, and other industry players to enhance the service offering and drive business growth.Work closely with the operations, technology, and implementation teams to ensure that client needs are met and that seamless delivery of services is achieved.Partner closely with the Client Management team to ensure seamless client onboarding and support cross-departmental initiatives that enhance the overall client experienceIdentify and leverage opportunities to cross-sell other GreenShield services, such as Health Services, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and Virtual Healthcare solutions, to existing clients.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORMinimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on benefits administration services, human resources, or employee benefits.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Actuarial science or a related field. In-depth understanding of employee benefits programs and benefits administration processes including health, retirement, wellness, and other fringe benefits, along with the regulatory landscape impacting benefits administration.Proven track record in driving new business, managing complex sales cycles, and achieving sales targets in the benefits administration space.Strong ability to build relationships with senior executives and other key decision-makers, while positioning solutions as critical to their business success.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with a consultative approach to sales.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions in a clear, compelling manner.Familiarity with HR technology platforms, payroll systems and benefits management software.Travel as needed for client meetings, Finalists meetings, conferences, and industry events.Ability to deliver engaging presentationsDemonstrated ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail and prioritizeTechnologically agile, adept in learning and integrating new applications and platformsBilingual (English/French)NICE TO HAVEAdditional certifications (, CEBS)THE CULTUREWe believe a career should be meaningful.
