We are passionate about providing a supportive environment for our team, delivering excellence to our guests while achieving the highest sustainability practices, and creating a lasting legacy for our families and communities.As a Barista, you will:Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards is delivered at all times.Prepare and serve barista-style beverages to The Pointe Restaurant standards.Ensure food and beverage descriptions are accurate and engaging.Manage allergies and dietary requests with care and attention.Assist with preparation and turnover of the Driftwood Café for upcoming shifts.Maintain and monitor inventory levels.Follow proper food handling procedures.Operate the Silverware and/or Squirrel Point of Sale systems.Accurately balance daily cash-outs.Work effectively both independently and within a team.Be self-motivated in expanding knowledge of coffee, wine, and spirits.Our ideal candidate will embody the West Coast culture, while still being committed to the art of hospitality and pursuit of excellence. They will have:The willingness to learn and be constantly challenged to grow with the restaurant team.Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting (fine dining experience an asset).Professionalism, consistency, and a positive attitude.An appreciation for the details that create exceptional guest experiences.A calm, composed, and approachable demeanour.The ability to contribute creative, forward-thinking ideas to elevate the Driftwood Café and our guest offerings.A valid Serving It Right certification.A mutual understanding of your employment duration will be determined during your interview.Salary/Wage: $18.10 per hour
