JOB PURPOSEThe Environmental Services Worker B is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe health care environment.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school graduation or equivalent (Grade 10 plus 2 + years of direct experience). Must be physically able to work steadily at assigned duties.Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Environmental Services Worker B is responsible for:Washing, disinfecting, dry and wet mopping floors and cleaning carpetsStripping, waxing, buffing and refinishing floorsCleaning patient rooms, common areas, and clinical areasPerforming major housecleaning dutiesDisinfecting and cleaning isolation and other specialty rooms using isolation proceduresDisposing of garbage, recyclables, bio-medical and toxic wasteCollecting soiled linens and folding and distributing clean linensDisassembling, transporting and assembling furnitureEmployees are responsible to be aware of and understand Horizon’s Terms of Employment COMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY HORIZON HEALTH NETWORKAttention to DetailCommunicationFlexibilityInterpersonal RelationsPatient/Client FocusResults OrientationTeamwork and CollaborationInterested?
