Job DescriptionCarquest, is owned and operated by Advance Auto Parts, Inc., the largest automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, servicing both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets.What we have to offer:Career Advancement – internal promotionsCompetitive benefits package after 90 days of employment – health/dental, life insurance, AD&D, short/long term disability, etcCompany RRSP matching programEmployee Stock Option Purchase PlanTeam member discount on auto partsVacation and Sick time off plansSafety Boot allowanceE/V charging stations on siteProvide a safe and healthy work environmentOffer a charitable giving programSummary of Job Description:Receive work assignments daily from the stocking supervisor regarding what lines need to be stocked and in what areasStock new merchandise, palletize and label overstock so that it may be handled properlyCheck shipments for accuracy and report the resultsPrepare the assigned zone to begin pulling each dayTag all completed orders to ensure that the tote goes to the proper locationUtilizing RF scanner, pull orders quickly and accurately as assigned and record the time it takes to pull ordersLoad trucks and check to make sure no items are missing from the loading processReceive freight daily and unloads merchandiseEnsure that all daily housekeeping duties are completed at the end of dayWhat you bring to the team:Experience in a warehouse environment;Must have the ability to learn and use computer and RF scanning technologies;Must be able to lift 50 lbs;Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;Must work in an organized manner, strong attention to detail;Must be available Monday to Saturday (5-day work week)Willing to be trained on cherry pickers, counterbalance and reach trucks is a plusWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class. Compensation Range: The range of expected compensation for this role is between 18.50 CAD and 22.25 CAD per hour for a new team member.
