The City of Kelowna, situated in the heart of the beautiful Okanagan valley, boasts a stunning setting and year-round recreational pursuits. Kelowna has over 200 city parks, all of which showcase why our city has won multiple “Community in Bloom” awards. Duties - Union Assists the Parks staff with horticulture work Dealing with the public, contractors, other City and event staff Results and Activities - Non union Credentials - Union Highschool Diploma or equivalent BC Driver’s Licence Class 5 Experience performing general labourer duties Experience in horticulture Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills Knowledge - Non Union Skills & Abilities - Non Union Competencies Posting Text Physical Demands Outside work in all weather conditions including extreme heat. Lifting, pulling and carrying loads up to 50 lbs. Bending, twisting, standing and walking on uneven terrain.
