Applicants to this role can expect to work on-site from our Distribution Centres in Johnstown and Brockville, Ontario 4 days a week.What Giant Tiger Brings:Work Your Way Hybrid work arrangement;Annual Profit-Sharing Program & Incentive PlanHealth/Dental/Vision Benefits as of day 1Store DiscountParental Top Up ProgramEmployee Tuition Reimbursement Program;Bursary Program for children of employees;Onsite Perks: Free parking; Public Transit accessible; 24/7 access to onsite gym;What You'll Be Doing:Execute on aspects of the people plan (labour, process and tools) as assigned by the HR Business Partner.Communicate and train on HR systems, programs and processes that are in place to support functional areas HR needs and Gaps.Execute compliance around HR policies/labour legislation for your business unit and identify risks and actions to escalate to the HR Business Partner as needed.Communicate with COEs and HR Ops to resolve any concerns for your business unit and ensure that you escalate feedback from your business unit to the HR Business Partner. Provide coaching, counselling and responses on employee relations and labour relations programs, policies and procedures that impact your business unit. Build business relationships as a trusted and proactive HR advisor through our HR Best Practices to drive employee engagement.What You'll Bring:Post Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline; or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in a HR role2+ years experience in employee relations, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts, including supporting Ministry of Labour and Human Rights claimsSkilled at building and maintaining positive working relationships with business leadersExcellent attention to detail with written workProven ability to effectively communicate in a positive way Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong decision-making and critical-thinking skills.Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate provincial employment law, policies and regulationsStrong computer skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are requiredActs with the highest professional standards of personal and professional integrityAssets You May HaveBilingualism English and FrenchExperience working in an HRIS#LI-HYBRIDGiant Tiger is proud to offer a Total Rewards package designed to support your financial security, health, and career growth.
