This includes total ownership of driving product strategy into the market and absolute owner for Monthly Sales Targets and Profitability of the product. The incumbent will be a liaison between Sales, SCM, Service and Channel for all product related matters.Role and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Drive all product-related business decisions for the local subsidiary over the product life cycle relating to Marcomm, Sales, Finance, SCM and interfacing with HQ. This includes product line-up strategy, customer collaboration and promotion planning, product launches, product training, collaboration on merchandising and displays channel distribution strategy, price positioning, market share analysis, Forecasting (CMF & 3MF), Inventory Mgmt., market analysis and research, management planning, channel distribution strategyCollaborate with the sales team to execute on the sales & marketing planCommunicate to HQ (GBM) re market, competition, COGs and product planning. Accountable for the profit and loss of the product.Collaborate with external and internal colleagues to grow sales and profit for product category. Prepare budget forecasting & profit simulationCommunicate with customers (Internal / external incl. NSM preparations, trade shows, maintain exception partner relationships, etc.)Review dealer feedback on line up and compare to current distributional strategyProvide direction for more junior Product Managers on the teamSuccessfully complete in a timely manner at any certifications as mandated by HQ.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred Knowledge:Strong analytical skillsStrong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.Ability to productively interact with distribution, retail and reseller business partnersThe ability to plan, organize and implement marketing projects and programsThe ability to disseminate market information and provide the best strategic business planThe ability to negotiate with both vendors and customers on marketing proposals and plansThe ability to develop tasks, work assignments, to clearly define objectives and give technical sales and marketing on a day-to-day levelAbility to assist in long and mid-term business planningAbility to manage budgets and determine ROIMust have a proven track record on resultsAbility to work in a fast paced environment is a mustShow a sense of urgencySkills and QualificationsExperience:A minimum of 5 years working in a Product Manager role preferredHome Appliances background is essentialSamsung is an equal employment opportunity employer.Samsung has an accommodation process in place and provides accommodations for job applicants with disabilities as appropriate.
