Title: Payroll Lead – GPO Location: Ottawa, ON Duration: 7 Months Introduction This role is responsible for owning and governing end-to-end payroll processes across the organization, ensuring standardized, compliant, and scalable payroll operations. It plays a critical leadership function within SAP and SuccessFactors-enabled environments, driving payroll design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement across regions. Required Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience implementing and testing SAP ECC Payroll (on-prem) Hands-on experience testing SuccessFactors Employee Central Valid SAP Payroll certification Proven experience leading a team of payroll consultants in a lead or manager capacity Demonstrated experience providing QA oversight of payroll deliverables in large-scale implementations Strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and integrations with HR and Finance systems Experience working in global or multi-country payroll environments Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience in global ERP or HR transformation programs Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional teams Knowledge of payroll audits, controls, and post-implementation support models Day-to-Day Responsibilities Act as Global Process Owner for Payroll, ensuring standardized payroll processes across regions and countries Lead payroll design decisions in alignment with business, HR, and finance stakeholders Serve as the primary payroll authority within ERP and HR transformation initiatives Lead and actively participate in the implementation and testing of SAP ECC Payroll, including configuration validation, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution Collaborate with HRIS, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between Employee Central and SAP Payroll Ensure payroll solutions meet statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements across geographies Lead and mentor a team of payroll consultants, providing functional guidance and subject-matter expertise Perform QA oversight of payroll deliverables, including configurations, test scripts, test results, and documentation Support issue resolution and risk mitigation during critical payroll cycles Own payroll testing strategy, including unit testing, system integration testing, parallel payroll runs, and user acceptance testing Establish payroll governance frameworks, controls, and KPIs to ensure operational excellence post go-live For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
