Please note, we are only looking to proceed with candidates who have full-time availability and meet the scheduling requirements below.Scheduling Requirements: Full-Time Position available: PSW must be available for 37.5-40 hours of work per weekMUST be available Monday-Friday, flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred. MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable futureAvailable and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home).Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine). Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support WorkerAssists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly.RequirementsMUST have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily workAbility to travel between assignments within designated areas of work, an asset if you can travel to rural/remote areas.Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in EnglishPSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/ doctorate CertificationNegative TB Test completed within the last yearValid CPR/First Aid Certificate Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria REQUIRED, immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged.
