The Team Lead oversees the day-to-day coordination of General Labourers and Laboratory Technicians. This position is given direction from the Oilsands Operations Manager and is an entry-level supervisory position. Please not this is a seasonal role with an anticipated end date of July 30th 2025. What you will be doing:Supervise and organize team to meet department objectivesEnsure that all samples are entered in the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in an accurate and expedient mannerEnsure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reportedKeep lab managers and operational staff informed on rush and time sensitive samples that arrive at the lab as well as incoming expected samplesEnsure proper and accurate completion of all outgoing bottle orders Ensure availability of sample supply stockEnsure sample pick-ups and supply delivery meets client expectations Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to managementEnsure compliance with required safety protocols and adherence to PPE policyOther duties as assigned What you bring to the table0-2 + Years Laboratory Logistics ExperienceProactive mindset, ability to plan and develop strategies for improved efficiencySupervisory experience an assetAbility to prioritize Intermediate computer skills Problem solving skills University Science degree is preferredWho We Are:AGAT Laboratories is a premier full-service laboratory operating at the cutting edge of science and innovation across North America.
